I build my Network Marketing Business with warm prospects?
Building with warm or cold
market prospects is a controversial subject in the network marketing
or MLM industry.
Talk to the successful business leaders in your company overseas,
and I will bet it isn’t a big decision for them at all. They would
want to figure out why someone would not share their opportunity
with their friends and family! There are people who have reached the
Diamond level in their first months just by focusing on inviting
their trusted friends, family members and business contacts to
review their company opportunity. So why is it controversial for
some?
Let’s consider four possibilities of starting with your warm market:
1. Inviting them to look is free!
Why pay to talk to someone about your business when you can talk to
people you know for free?
Remember, It’s all in how you talk to them and which process you
follow.
2. It does not involve a lot of time!
Many experts online talk about how you can build your business so
easily by attracting prospects to you with cold marketing. This is a
great approach for those who are disciplined with their online
activities but it takes TIME. Just look at the number one objection
for your prospects not getting started in your business today? Time
often comes ahead of lack of money five to one? As experienced net
workers we all know the answers to these objections but those same
prospects can still slip through your fingers. If you can show your
prospects a simple (but not easy!) way to build a business that is
producing results and is duplicated by thousands their interest
level will rise. If they think they need to know how to create their
own website and how to become this ‘expert’ before they can even get
started, most people with ‘no time’ will say goodbye!
3. Trust
If you are a good person then your friends, family and daily
contacts trust you enough to have a look at what you’re doing.
Network Marketing is often misrepresented by a “hey, anyone can do
this!” approach. I only prospect and introduce sharp, business
minded people who plan to succeed. It’s a bonus if I already know
and like them. It is not different in traditional warm market
networking. You do your warm market list to get started fast…even
the not so great backward of companies don’t expect you to be
signing up your Uncle Joe who is in the nursing home. If you’re
doing warm market select the top 40 people on your list who are
sharp and enthusiastic people in other areas of their life. Get the
information out to them as soon as possible. using 3rd party tools
so that they see the business message not you. If I know someone who
is negative they are not on my list to invite to look at my
business. Let me repeat this, I am not here to change someone’s
negativity and convince them otherwise. I am building a business, I
do not want to work with them, cheer them, hold their hand and
motivate them every step of the way!
4. Timing
If you have an exciting opportunity with great timing then you need
to invite the sharp people in your warm market to take a look. Don’t
wait to call them, and have them tell you they are already signed
up! You don’t want to be attending your company convention and bump
into your best friend. Who by the way you didn’t call, because you
were scared of hearing NO!
So there you have it the choice is still yours, and nobody said not
to work twice as hard by starting on your cold market. Given what I
know the choice for me is clear…..
